UPDATE: We regret to advise that The Fish and Jandal is temporarily closed but will re-open from 1 October 2024. Thank you for your patience. We do appreciate your ongoing support and hope to welcome you back in the Spring and Summer months. This official website (www.fishandjandal.nz) has the calendar dates blocked until 31 March 2025 but dates will be released in September for bookings from October 2024. • a  2.5  to 3 hour drive north of Auckland (note comment below*).
• a 35 minute flight from Auckland to Whangarei airport (Onerahi).  
• 20 minutes drive to/from Onerahi Airport.  
• 25 minutes drive to Whangarei City.
• 10 mins (just a short drive) to Ocean Beach.  
• 1 hour to the beautiful Bay of Islands.

Please be advised that it is recommended for international travellers to stay in Auckland before continuing with their travels (to recover from the long flight), especially for those that are unfamiliar with NZ roads.
 
From Auckland airport The Fish and Jandal would be a good 3-3.5 hours drive  (or longer if you are unfamiliar with NZ roads).  Please be safe driving.
